The Evalius team consists of experienced diamond professionals who have spent their entire careers working within all aspects of the diamond industry, from rough sorting and valuations through to process manufacturing and polished sales.
All members of the team began their diamond careers with De Beers in the 1980’s and have continually developed these skills. As a combined group they have over 120 years of diamond valuation experience covering all productions across the globe.
In addition to the four directors, Evalius has access to additional resources with specialist knowledge of the industry.
Andy has over 33 years of experience within the diamond industry performing many varied roles and responsibilities. During his 24 years within the De Beers organisation, Andy, after initial training in rough diamond sorting and valuation went on to cover all aspects of the diamond pipeline. Tim Devitt has worked in the diamond industry for over 25 years across many aspects of the supply chain. His background was at De Beers in rough diamond sorting and valuations in London and buying in Antwerp, Kinshasa and Conakry. Nick has over 25 year’s diamond experience which has included a variety of roles throughout the diamond pipeline. Initially trained as a diamond sorter at De Beers in London, Nick soon moved overseas to become a rough diamond buyer where he spent 6 years working in Belgium, Congo and Guinea. Craig spent 34 years at De Beers, including several overseas postings and 3 years relocated to Gaborone, Botswana. Craig is a manufacturing industry specialist with experience in advising appropriate Government departments, NGO’s and diamond industry leaders.
